NEET Exam Pattern 2022

The question paper for NEET 2022 will be based on the decided syllabus. NTA has decided to provide a choice in Section”B” for each section/subject. Consequently, the exam pattern will have two sections. Each of the subjects has 2 sections –

  • Section A – 35 Questions
  • Section B – 15 Questions

Out of these 15 questions appearing in section B, candidates can attempt any 10 of these questions. Hence, the total number of questions and usage of time is the same.

NEET 2022 Instructions for filling OMR Sheet

Candidates should be aware of the instructions to fill the NEET 2022 OMR sheet, in order to avoid any kind of inconvenience in the exam.

  • Answers marked with ballpoint pen, which provided by official on exam center.
  • Aspirants must mark the Exam Paper booklet code on the OMR sheet.
  • Rough work can do only behind test booklet.
  • Aspirants must not change answers in the OMR sheet, erasing any information printed on the OMR sheet is a punishable offense.

NEET Marking Scheme 2022

Candidates can go through the marking scheme of NEET 2022 and easily know how the marks will be allotted by the officials after the conclusion of the exam.

  1. For each correct answer in NEET, 4 marks will be awarded and one mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
  2. If any candidate will leave the question unanswered, there is no negative marking for that as per the NEET exam pattern 2022.
  3. Once aspirants mark their answers in the NEET 2022 OMR sheet, it is not possible to change it.
  4. Aspirants are suggested not to attempt multiple answers during the NEET exam as it will cost a negative marking.

How is NEET Score calculated?

Applicants can use the below-mentioned formula and calculate their expected score, as per their attempt in the examination after the release of the NEET answer key 2022. According to the NEET 2022 marking scheme, aspirants can calculate the expected score even before the release of the result and predict their medical college. For every correct answer, the aspirants is awarded 4 marks and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.

Formula = NEET Score = (Correct answers X 4) – (Incorrect answers X 1)

Normalization used to nullify the effects of the varying difficulty level of question papers in various exam sessions.

NEET Marks Distribution 2022 (Subject-Wise)

It is already mentioned that the NEET 2022 questions paper contains Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects from Class 11 and 12. The Biology paper will have 100 questions, which would further be divided into two equal parts, i.e., Zoology and Botany, separately. In total, there will be 200 questions, as mentioned in the NEET 2022 question paper pattern.
